Bryland raise money – par for the cause!

Bryland raise money – par for the cause!

Last month we were delighted to both help sponsor and take part in the 4th annual ‘Data Centre Golf Tournament’ held at Staverton Estate Golf Club. This was our third year attending, with teams including Dunwoody’s, Excool, Munters and Mavin Global along with our guests from SPIE and Essex Group Services. As a specialist provider within data centres, this was an ideal opportunity to share industry knowledge with co-suppliers and experts.

Rory McIlroy we are not but ‘team Bryland’ sponsored hole 13 of the championship course, and won two top three prizes in the Texas Scramble and Stapleford Scoring system.

A tremendous day, enjoyed by all, with the profits raised being donated to ‘CLIC Sargent,’ the UK’s leading cancer charity supporting children, young people and their families.

Bryland – leading the way with Honeywell GENT

As a Honeywell GENT Approved System Integrator, last month saw members of the Bryland Fire team visit their System Sensor factory in Trieste, Italy.

The packed itinerary was designed to educate our handpicked team on the latest in System Sensory products including a factory tour, and training seminars. We are proud to represent the Honeywell GENT brand and this highly beneficial trip has further expanded our product knowledge to ensure we provide our customers with the very latest fire alarm systems.

Pretty Mud Race for Cancer Research

Pretty Mud Race for Cancer Research

We are playing a little game of ‘Spot the difference’ today.

Oh….. we haven’t made it very difficult have we!

Pictured here are six lovely ladies taken before and after the ‘Pretty Muddy Race For Life’ which took place on Saturday at Sandwell Valley. Donna, Heloise, Kadie, Lisa, Rebecca, and Sam all scrambled, slid, and got splattered from head to foot as they took on the 5km obstacle course.

Over £1,500 was raised for Cancer Research UK so every blister and ache was worth it. Well done ladies!

Bryland back Team GB triathlete!

Bryland back Team GB triathlete!

Earlier this month saw Chris Gaskin represent Great Britain in the ITU World Triathlon Series Finals in Rotterdam.

Bryland Fire are delighted to be one of Chris’ regular sponsors and show support for this British athlete. Chris who finished 26th in the world for his age category faced tough opposition to complete the epic ‘swim, bike, run’ combination and rubbed shoulders with the world’s best, including Javier Gomez, Flora Duffy and Jodie Stimpson.

We wish Chris every success in his upcoming events! Congratulations and well done Chris.

Team Bryland Fire are proud of you!

Getting Muddy for Cancer Research

Getting Muddy for Cancer Research

Six ladies from Bryland Fire have teamed together to take part in the Pretty Muddy Race for Life event at Sandwell Valley, Saturday 30th September. Donna, Heloise, Kadie, Lisa, Rebecca and Samantha are hoping to raise £1,350 to donate to Cancer Research UK.

The endurance of completely a 5km obstacle course will be a physical challenge for most of us, but throw mud into the mix and this could make for an interesting event. It’s all for a great course though and for those that want to show their support, there is still time to sponsor us!

Grant goes the distance for Neuroblastoma

16th September see’s Bryland Fire’s Grant Taylor and 36 co-riders, cycle from Farnham to Hayling Island to help support a local family who sadly lost their 4 year old daughter, Jessica to Neuroblastoma.

This will be Grant’s 11th annual bike ride, which during the years have raised over £30,000 in donations for a number of charities close to his heart including Breast Cancer Care, Limbcare, Deaf Children’s Society and Diabetes UK.

My daughter, father, wife’s friends and mother have all needed treatment and support for various conditions including deafness, cancer, and diabetes. Neuroblastoma has been in the media recently due to sad case of Bradley Lowery. We want to show our support to Jessica Whelan’s family and help other sufferers battling this cruel disease.
