Cylinder Re-certification
Offering the best in Fire Protection & Prevention.
Bryland Fire specialise in Cylinder Re-certification. After 10 years in the field, all fire suppression cylinders whether FM-200, NOVEC 1230, Inert gas and even CO2 have to be hydrostatically tested according The pressure equipment regulations 1999 you can also read more here and on HSE website. Further information can be found in BS EN 1968:2002 and FIA guidelines.
Hydrostatic Pressure Testing is mandatory and it is an offence not to have this done every 10 years.
This process involves taking the cylinder away, discharging, pressure testing and re-charging with gas prior to re-delivery to their original site and re-commissioning. A process which is not only costly in money terms, but can leave a fire suppression system down for two weeks or more.

An Exchange Scheme…
This is where Bryland Fire’s “Service Exchange” cylinder programme comes in. The cylinder is simply “exchanged” for an equivalent refurbished one, which is much faster and comparable to the old cylinder off-site refurbishment in cost terms.
Bryland can complete the job with the minimum of cost and inconvenience with downtime typically just a few hours. All we require is a photograph of the cylinder valve, the label on the cylinder and the height from the floor.
